I — Practice
We build slowly. A wall is drawn once, sampled three times, and then made by the same hands that will return to it in twenty years.
Gnosis works between the drawing and the joint. We take a small number of projects each year and hold them from survey to handover, with our own masons, joiners and concrete crews. Nothing is subcontracted that decides how a building will age.
Material is chosen for patina, not for finish. Limestone quarried within a day of the site. Concrete cast against sawn boards. Oak left to move. We accept the marks that time will leave, because we design for them.

Materials are the argument
Limestone, lime plaster, board-marked concrete, solid oak, blackened steel. Six materials, used consistently, are enough for a lifetime of building.
